What were Home students saying ahead of decline by default?
Exam nerves
Home UG students are asking lots of questions about extenuating circumstances around exam results. They are particularly nervous this year as they are the Covid generation who have never taken official exams.
They are preparing for Clearing and what needs to happen if they don’t get the results they need.
Finance concerns
Across all cohorts and fee statuses there has been an increase in FAQs about finance and financial assistance.
Cost of living increases are becoming a real concern with affordability rising up the agenda.
Slower decision-making
Students have been affected by slow decision-making from universities, meaning that they were even less likely to accept their offers ahead of DBD deadline. They were waiting for all offers to be made before firmly accepting anything.
Teachers have been telling students not to worry about adhering to deadlines.
