About the job

The Data and Insights Team provides a key function in delivering evidence of the value our platform brings to our University Partners. We want our platform to improve student outcomes, to provide our partners with amazing success stories and to help them evolve their businesses. To do that, we need to understand what informs student choice and how our platform can play a major part in this ambition. This role will play a key part in the development of our platform and be responsible for its’ investigation, analysis, mapping and documentation.

What else are we looking for in our Technical Business Analyst?

The Data and Insights team is responsible for Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Data Science, Operational Reporting and is a key contributor to the development of our overall Data Architecture. This role would suit someone who is an amazing problem-solver; able to take the highly complex and make it straightforward, understandable, and transparent; able to straddle the operational, platform and data domains, seamlessly transitioning between these or working across them to ensure cohesive and holistic feature development. Working in an analytical capacity in a technology or education business (or Higher Education) with knowledge of student record systems and/or HESA would be extremely advantageous to hit the ground running in this position!

UniQuest is based in the UK – we are currently a remote working business. This position will be working remotely but with opportunities to meet your team and wider company at various points throughout the year.

UniQuest engages students through a comprehensive multi-channel communication strategy. Intelligent and innovative email marketing forms an important strand of this strategy and enables our clients to deliver proactive and insightful conversion journeys informed by insights. The Email Marketing Specialist is at the heart of this function, enabling us to deliver consistently strong results for university partners.

The main function of this role is the creation and deployment of intelligent and impactful email marketing campaigns for specific partners across the UniQuest group. The Email Marketing Specialist will ensure that digital student communication journeys are continuously evaluated and optimised to ensure that our partners are confidently placed at the forefront of email marketing developments.

The Email Marketing Specialist ensures that the emails created are built upon the most effective templates. They build and optimise effective email marketing communications for our clients, improving conversion rates and ensuring that the universities are reaching their full potential and prospective students are engaged with them successfully.

What else are we looking for in our Email Marketing Specialist?

Previous experience in an email marketing or digital marketing role will be essential to delivering successful results in this role. You will have a good understanding of email marketing techniques, design and best practice, as you will be assisting the set-up, build, testing and sending of B2C communications as well as ensuring that UniQuest data is used effectively to inform partner marketing strategies and content creation. The Marketing Automation team is a tight-knit and hard-working group of specialists – you will work alongside this team to create both one-off email campaigns as well as automated student journeys. We work closely together at UniQuest – across our internal teams as well as with our University Partners – building strong relationships is key. You will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a desire to make a difference!

We are looking for a Team Leader who will work alongside our Partner Relationship Manager (PRM) to provide a brilliant service to one of our most commercially-focused partners based in the US. In the role, you will responsible for line-managing a team to deliver an excellent and unparalleled service – consistently – to your partner. This means managing and developing a team of Enrolment Advisors, assisting and deputising for the PRM on account development, exceeding the client’s expectations and providing exceptional service while delivering conversion, enrolment and internal revenue targets. You will also be required to assist with conversion activities as and when required.

We are looking for brilliant Student Advisors to join our team, as we start working with new partners or expand our teams on a regular basis. Acting as an extension of your university partners’ teams, we provide a number of services including the support of a prospective student’s application process and making decisions about their enrolment, supporting the admissions process or engaging with current students already attending one of your university partners. You may be engaging with students over email or live chat or through inbound or outbound calls, ensuring they feel well supported and are receiving the answers to the questions they need in regarding their education. Acting as an extension of your university partners’ teams, in this role, you will provide a high level of customer service to applicants, make decisions on applications, short-list applicants for interview, implement the pre-CAS process and work closely with key stakeholders including Admissions Tutors.

You will need to be super-confident on the phone as you will be speaking to students (and sometimes their parents!) from around the globe. Working efficiently and flexibly, the role plays a key part in the delivery of an excellent applicant experience and assisting the University to meet its student number targets, by admitting suitably qualified applicants. We will give you in-depth system and university specific training, but it will be your attention to detail and personality that makes the difference.

Previous demonstrated “Admissions” experience within a UK higher education setting is critical for success in this role. For us that means you may have experience of the main clearing houses or University administration and are now looking to move into a commercial organisation which offers the agility, wider exposure across the education sector or a step up in your career. You will bring critical knowledge of UK qualifications and the UCAS process and set high personal standards of achievement. You will be demonstrate excellent time management and ability to meet established deadlines. You will be confident and have a professional style. Superb verbal and written communication skills are a must. Honest and conscientious, you will perform well under pressure with a positive, determined and can-do attitude.
